The Daisy Mae Song

by Darcy

Daisy Mae

This is our tribute to Al Kooper's dog, Daisy Mae, that beautiful creature. We'd like to think of Al Kooper singing this song as he rescued her from the pound.

It's with sadness that we add that Daisy Mae died on September 9th, 200l. Our condolences to Al on the loss of his faithful friend.

Remembering Daisy Mae:

"She had a pointed head and absolutely the cutest face a dog ever had. She was continually mistaken for a pup, even into her doggie seventies. Daisy endured the repetitious music of a man who composed songs in the same room with her; I always left the studio door open (truth be told, there is no door) while playing tracks over and over to get them just right. She never complained about that repetition......I sprinkled her ashes all over the yard that she adored so much.....The yard is unspeakably still and empty these days." (Al Kooper)

THE SONS & DAUGHTERS OF PARAMUS SALUTE YOU DAISY MAE!
